...Have you had the rub with love for salmon? That stuff
is amazing... I initially had the steak rub and fell in love with that, and
now the salmon, its perfect. Try adding a little bit of hickory chips to
the grill w/ the salmon/rub with love for a little extra "love"..... not
too much smoke to overpower, just a nice little smoke....... real nice.

Being a chilly overcast day I had just lit the fireplace to take the chill off

I LOVE the Burton Stove Top
Grill. My old one is smaller and doesn't have handles and fits over a small
stove top burner. If this new one performs as well as my old one has, I will be

bad I cannot find another use for it, such as a planter, ha,ha. I am going to
try the egg poacher in the morning.

Just a followup. Remember I told you that I was concerned about the butane canisters hassle for the Max Burton burner. You wanted me to let you know if I finally got them. Well, yes I did. They came last week, three days after the burner [our butane ships ground through the post office as a hazardous material]. The whole thing is really cool. I used the outfit on a camping trip over the Labor Day weekend. Sure a lot neater and cleaner than the old Coleman stove routine. Thanks again!

Hi Paul and Peggy,
I am responding to your note that was included in the shipment of butane
canisters that you sent to us. I wanted you to know that they arrived
perfectly.
We live in the country and most everybody knows everybody else here.
Our mail lady, Kathy, brought the three packages up to our door for us
to sign for them. They were in a special plastic container with plastic
tape all over, befitting hazardous cargo, I guess. When she gave them
to me, she remarked about the "hazardous cargo" status of the packages,
and told me that the shipment was the talk of the post office! All the
postal people working when the shipment came in wondered just what the
S---'s were getting with a hazardous cargo designation! And coming from
The White Whale, they wondered if we were getting baby whales! I think
that was a joke, referring to my husband's occupation as a wildlife
biologist, but I am absolutely certain that not too many people on
Kathy's route get hazardous cargo!
When she gave the packages to me, and told me all this, I asked her to
come inside so I could open one of them and show her what was in the
packages! She could see, then, that we were not receiving bombs,
uranium or even baby whales!
Thanks for having these canisters. We will enjoy using our butane stove
without worries about running out of butane.
