OLIO SANTO (This is not a Stutz product. A long time customer favorite)

From the heart of the Napa Vally, this is an early harvest olive oil (early harvesting means sweeter fruit). Famous, full bodied Olio Santo is pressed from Mission and Manzarillo olives, native to Northern California. This is the top of the line extra virgin olive oil which began the renaissance of the California olive oil industry. Use on pasta, in salads, and with crusty fresh bread.

Chef Michael Chiarello first presented this oil at his restaurant TraVigne in St. Helena.

HEALTH NEWS! The FDA may soon be approving this labeling on olive oil: "...scientific evidence suggests that eating about 2 tablespoons (23 grams) of olive oil daily may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease due to the monounsaturated fat in olive oil. To achieve this possible benefit, olive oil is to replace a similar amount of saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day." The label will then specify the amount of olive oil in the particular food.

Olive oil is one of the few cooking oils available that is rich in both monounsaturated fats and cancer-fighting antioxidants. It can be used for sautéing, stir-frying, or dressing salads and vegetables. A mere two tablespoons a day is all you need to enjoy its benefits.
